of a Performance Tent.
Project Brief:
Baytex was asked to complete a custom designed 40m wide x 38m deep Performance Tent for the Bard on the Beach Theatre Group in Vancouver, Canada. This tent, erected for 5 months of Vancouver’s summer proved a major challenge and a huge success for the Baytex design team.
This custom designed fabric structure is fitted out with a sophisticated tiered seating system to accommodate 750 patrons around a large push stage. A key feature of the design is the open back wall behind the stage allowing the patrons a clear view across the bay to Vancouver mountains behind.
Project Comments:
The opening night was a sell out success and it’s all designed to be dismantled and stored for the remaining seven months of the year. Bard on the Beach, who have shown exclusively Shakespearean drama for over 20 years, are looking forward to a new lease on Shakespearean theatre life in their new Baytex tent.
